| It is no coincidence that this manual is called the "Administrator's Guide." It is intended to be used by your organization's network administrator, or whoever your network's caretaker may be. Since the people responsible for watching over your network may not necessarily be certified network engineers, every attempt has been made to keep the language and explanations in this manual as user-friendly as possible. Still, it is assumed that this person has the following minimal set of skills: |

| • an understanding of TCP/IP networking |
| • knowledge of your network's topology |
| • the ability to configure networking settings on Windows workstations |
|
If you are not this person, it is strongly recommended that you find this person in your organization and let them administer iPrism. This will make the process of configuring and maintaining iPrism much easier.
