The Sr. Applications Engineer will develop in-house operational systems to integrate with production applications. This individual will mentor associate level in-house developers and architect and manage deliverables adhering to an aggressive project plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operational support systems including billing, CRM, reporting, data warehousing, and data marts. This includes Finance and Accounting databases, information protection, structure, encryption, and prevention systems.
- Creates and maintains high performing database systems infrastructure as well as all back office development for the production environment.
- Provides additional services to the Director of IT & Support as needed, such as internal database and operational systems support.
- Manages all database, reporting, analysis, and business intelligence and other database manipulation and automation responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience and Requirements:
- 4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years experience in the systems database field, architecture, tuning, monitoring, data protection, migration, multiple SQL platforms, O/S Agnostic.
- Experience on Windows Server, Linux, Solaris and other common operating systems.
- Extensive experience in Java and MySQL and other common languages.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Team player with capability to work independently and take initiative. Strong organizational, leadership, and management skills.
- Excellent time management and work prioritization skills.
- Previous experience leading database and development teams a plus.
- Other duties as required.
